Satellite TV Makes Super Bowl Viewing Accessible Worldwide
I could not be happier living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Great food, great nightlife, great people, and now it's summer, which is the icing on the cake. Travelling and living abroad in the twenty-first century is much different than before. More than anything, this is due to technology and the ease of communication. Even if they're thousands of miles away, I talk with my family every week via video chat. I keep up with the American news through the Internet and podcasts. All I can do from the comfort of my bed with my laptop. But when it comes to keeping up with American sports, I crave the atmosphere that makes the sport look like fun! I never lost a superbowl, but I never would then look to me in my bedroom. I want to do with screaming fans who can get irritated me up! Well, this is possible, thanks to satellite television. Someone could have convinced me I was sitting in a bar in the U.S. last night, as I applauded the New Orleans Saints. Well, if it were not for the summer heat that flows through the windows that is. I'm sure it would be wrapped in hats and scarves in the U.S., but that's not the point. The fans were dressed in their Saints and Colts gear. Signs that read "Who dat?" flew in every direction, like high-definition screens scattered throughout the bar excited the fans energy. American football is something that few other cultures care. In a sense, I understand why. The sport is quite barbaric. It is the grace of football or basketball, which are much appreciated throughout the world. But having grown up in America, a family loves soccer, I have a penchant for football and what football religiously tuned represents.I never, I never purchased the NFL Sunday ticket, but even I have never missed a superbowl , and plan never to one. And 'strangely comforting to thousands of miles away from home, and I know that can not only watch the Superbowl, but I can see him in a bar full of fans who love football, and who feel the same enthusiasm and get just as riled Instead of good ol 'American bar food, I was eating empanadas, Argentina dishes, and sipping beer Quilmes, Argentina typical beer. But empanadas were greasy and fat, and Quilmes is cheep and light, so it's basically the same thing as eating a burger or wings, and drinking beer Budweiser. I am sure that any Argentine feet from the bar, have wondered what might be going on, to have so many angry applause, jersey dress in a crazy-Americans on Sunday night. Being able to watch football from abroad is just one of many wonderful qualities of satellite TV. [ABSTRACT] I could not live happily in Buenos Aires, Argentina to be.
